The companies on this page support the Wheelchair Bulls and wheelchair sports. Please show your appreciation by giving them the same support they give us.

The Chicago Bulls adopted the Wheelchair Bulls in 1987. At that time, the Wheelchair Bulls became the 4th wheelchair team to be adopted by the NBA team in their city. In 2001, there are 20 NBA-sponsored wheelchair teams

It has always been the dream of the Bull’s Jim Gallo for the team to have it’s own disabled sports facility that contained basketball courts, a baseball field, tennis courts, and a training facility for kids and adults with a disability to train. We’re not sure if we’ll ever get there but Gallo’s dream takes a big step forward with the partnership formed with the Alexian Orthopedics Institute, part of the Alexian Brothers Hospital Network.  Alexian showed their support this year with the largest single contribution in our organization’s history.

Special thanks to Alexian’s Joan Bornack and Sara Odland-Beyna for believing that wheelchair sports and the Wheelchair Bulls are important on so many levels - that it’s not just some guys and gals who play pick up basketball. It’s sportsmanship, comraderie, self esteem, and athletes who are role models to kids with disabilities. It’s about showing those kids that although disabled, they can be world-class athletes who train, excel, travel the world, and sign autographs for kids  like so many of the athletes we all look up to.
